Tyin Aktiv is one of Norway's most experienced kite course suppliers and has been doing this now for over 15 years.
Course includes
Equipment control - how to unpack and assemble the kit safely
Steering - use the control bar to place the kite where you want in the wind
Starts simply and builds on - we use trainer kites without skis and gradually move to larger kites
Theory in practice - we teach you the theoretical with a kite in the air. We want to have as much time as possible in the air!
Do you miss ski?
If you usually snowboard, we recommend that you rent skis the first time you try a kite. In our ski hire there are alpine skis that are well suited to kite lessons for hire.
Loan of the kite and associated equipment is included in the course price.

The kite courses are conducted in powerful surroundings on one of the several frozen waters on Tyin-Filefjell. For those who are unsure what a kite is, it is a sail that resembles a small paraglider. We use this to stay behind on skis. Here you will learn unique ways to steer yourself forward on skis with the help of the wind.
